You may have noticed a lapse in my daily 'What I Made' feature.
In my heart, creativity keeps me happy.
In my head, going to the craft store three times a week was bad for my budget.
In my soul, I am a closet environmental extremist who got a little tired of all the waste.
So I've eased up a bit. I'll still create, and I'll still blog, but it will be fewer projects and more in-depth.
The quality of my photography will remain the same.
Maybe I shouldn't advertise that.

It's hard to keep up with isn't it? Balancing a "green" life with creating. I'm always on the lookout for good art supplies that are also ecologically sound.
ReplyDeleteI think I made up for it by shopping at Trader Joe's yesterday using my reusable bags. Wish CO would get one of those stores. I can't figure out why they don't yet. Is it the liquor issue? Not that we buy a lot of alcohol, but I'm always surprised when I visit out there and think "Oh yeah… real liquor stores…"
PS: There is a knitter online who does recycled knitting. Meaning, she buys sweaters from 2nd hand stores, takes them apart, washes and sometimes dyes the yarn and knits new things.
